Day 01 Arrive Kolkatta
Arrive Kolkatta. On arrival you will be received by our representative for transfer to hotel.
Day 02 Kolkatta
Afternoon visit Victoria Memorial - sits opposite the Maidan in Central Calcutta. Resembling a cross between the Taj Mahal and St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, it is Calcutta’s most impressive landmark. Shortly after her death, Lord Curzon proposed a memorial be dedicated to Queen Victoria both as a tribute and a triumphant depiction of her reign in India. The monument was called Victoria Memorial Hall. Then visit St. Paul’s Cathedral - One of the most important churches in India, the Cathedral, stands just to the east of the Victoria Memorial. It is notable for its striking murals and frescoes, impressive stained-glass windows, and coloured alter redoes including the great west window by Burne Jones. Also visit the Kali temple - the temple is about 2 kilometers directly south of St. Paul’s Cathedral. Rebuilt in 1809 on the site of a much older temple, it is an important site. Kali is a form of Durga and the image is seen astride a tiger.

Day 03 Kolkatta – Guwahati
Morning you will be transferred to the airport for flight to Guwahati. Upon arrival in Guwahati, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Evening visit to Kamakhya Dev temple.
The beautiful capital city of Assam on the south bank of the Brahmaputra is Guwahati. Guwahati too has an ancient history especially associated with the Kamrupa at least as far back as the Golden Age of the civilizations of the yester years, when the area was the seat of the Ahom rule.
The name Guwahati derived itself from the words "guwa" and "haat" meaning "taamul" (a very popular chewable betel nut usually associated with "paan", a leaf with which it is normally consumed) and "market" respectively. It has seen many different spellings over time. They range from Gauhati, Gohati, Gawhati to Guhati although phonetically Guwahati (the current Anglicised spelling) is the nearest match to its roots in the Axomiya (Assamese) language. It has also found a name as the leading light of the north east in Pragjyotishpur.
It is a very beautiful place and has the majestic Kamakhya Mandir overlooking the curves in the river acting as a sentinel. There are a lot of other religious/picturesque sites like Dol Gobinda on the northern banks and Gandhi Mandap in the very heart of the city.

Day 04 Guwahati - Shillong
Morning drive to Shillong (100 km). Upon arrival in Shillong, check into your hotel.
Rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 Shillong
A full day sightseeing, visiting Shilong Park, Elephant falls and butterflies museum.
Romantic and picturesque with abundance of nature's gifts, Shillong is described as 'Scotland of the East' because of its striking similarity with that of the Scottish highlands and has been attracting indigenous and foreign tourists for decades.
The city is one of the few hill stations with motorable roads all around. Shillong has its own charm, different from other hill stations and presents a natural scenic beauty with waterfalls, brooks, pine-groves and gardens. The place, the people, the flora and fauna and the climate all combine to make Shillong an ideal holiday resort throughout the year. Shillong offers arrangement for tourists with good hotel accommodation, facilities for sports, fishing and hiking.

Day 06 Shillong
Morning enjoy a sightseeing tour. Visit ward lake & Hyde park.
Rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 Shillong – Cherapunjee – Shillong
A full day excursion to cherapunjee (56 km) en route rama krishna mission.
Better known as Sohra, Cherrapunjee is one of the most visited tourist spots of North Eastern India. Situated 56 Kms from Shillong and 1300 metres above sea level, known all over the world as the rainiest place on the planet. A pleasant drive to see roaring water falls leaping into deep gorges, including the famous Nohsngithiang falls is certainly an ever memorable visual treat. The lovely town is also famous for its limestone caves, orange, honey, a headquarter of the Syiem of Sohra and a Centre of the Khasi Culture and literature.
On return journey, visit the limestone caves.

Day 08 Shillong - Kaziranga National Park
Drive to Kaziranga National Park (295 kms)
Rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 Kaziranga National Park
A full day, jeep safari inside the jungle. O/n at hotel.
Located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River in the far North East of India, Assam, Kaziranga National Park covers an area of approximately 430-sq-kms with its swamps and tall thickets of elephant grass making it the ideal habitat for the Indian One-Horned Rhino. Due to limitless poaching of this prehistoric survivor, the Kaziranga National Park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1940.

A full day elephant safari inside the jungle. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 Kaziranga National Park - Guwahati
Drive back to Guwahati (250 kms). Upon arrival in Guwahati, check into your hotel.

Day 12 Guwahati – Kolkatta
Morning is at your leisure. Later you will be transferred to the airport for the flight back to Kolkatta. Upon arrival in Kolkatta, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.
